The VHA 406ND is a 2-way active line array module from FBT’s Horizon series, specifically engineered for both vertical and horizontal deployments in live events, theatres, arenas, and large-scale installations. Compact yet powerful, the system features four custom 6.5″ woofers with 1.5″ voice coils and a 1.4″ B&C neodymium compression driver with a 2.5″ voice coil, mounted on a precision-engineered waveguide designed using BEM modeling techniques. This ensures consistent coverage with a horizontal dispersion of 90° and a vertical pattern of 20°.

The VHA 406ND is driven by a Class-D amplifier delivering 800W RMS to the low frequencies and 400W RMS to the highs. The system includes an onboard DSP with eight selectable presets, offering flexible control over EQ curves, high-pass filtering and HF level for adapting the response to different configurations and environments. With a frequency response extending from 65Hz to 20kHz and a maximum SPL of 134dB, the 406SND balances clarity and output in a compact footprint.

Designed for array configurations up to six vertical modules or up to five per flybar in horizontal mode, the VHA 406ND enables a variety of coverage options, from focused throw to 360° horizontal dispersion. The cabinet is constructed from 12mm birch plywood with a scratch-resistant black finish and features an elegant, rugged design that supports both flown and ground-stacked setups. When paired with the matching VHA 112SND or VHA 118SND subwoofers, the system extends effortlessly into the low-frequency range, offering full-range performance down to 30Hz.

At the heart of the system is the powerful amplification module with integrated TCP/IP network interface. Built on the OCA ALLIANCE AES70 standard, it ensures seamless communication with the INFINITO System Management Suite software and receives 24-bit, 48–96kHz digital audio streaming from any Dante-compatible device. Housed in a robust aluminum chassis with intelligent forced ventilation, the module features an OLED display with encoder for easy parameter adjustments. A high-brightness blue front LED allows remote identification of the device, even under daylight conditions.
